2022 annual review: truck express full-year average pickup 22.73 days

In 2022, our truck express line's full-year average pickup time was 22.73 days.

This number is on the high side in our annual series. The cause was mostly external: several border ports had phased fluctuation this year, and vehicles waited abroad longer than in previous years. Such factors are beyond our control, but they do show up in the annual average.

What is worth explaining is the fluctuation range. Stability sometimes matters more than the average — the same average of 22 days: if performance is "24, 21, 23, 22", clients can plan restocking on it; if it is "12, 35, 18, 30", it is completely unusable.

This year we invested in two things:

  • Port-switching mechanism — long-term cooperation with Khorgos, Alashankou, Baketu and Jimunai, going through whichever is smoother that day;
  • Xinjiang bonded warehouse trailer swap and document pre-review — finish inside China whatever can be finished there to reduce border dwell.
How to read transit data
Look at both the average and the percentiles. With an average pickup of 22 days, if 80% of trips fall within 18–26 days the channel is usable; if the distribution is scattered, it needs re-evaluation.
